ABOUT ME
My name is Jalon Ward. I am 17 years old and currently a senior at the Sports Medical Sciences Academy (SMSA). My favorite hobbies are playing basketball, football and spending time with my family. I am the youngest of 3 and currently live with 2 siblings . All 3 of my siblings have disabilities and face challenges everyday. As a brother I am there for them. My capstone is about how online school impacts kids with disabilities. I picked this topic because it upsets me everyday to see all my siblings struggle with online learning. This has made me realize that this isn't just a problem at my home its a problem lots of kids in all types of schools are facing. Working with students who have disabilities is something that I am passionate about, and am also looking to further my career in.

Mission Statement
My mission is to ensure that all people are provided an equal opportunity for an education no matter what their differences are. One thing that I value is my unique family. Our family has accomplished many obstacles which has taught me to value relationships and the support system that you have. In order to help with everyone being able to access the same education, I plan to attend college, and inquire about becoming a paraprofessional
